I’m a PhD student in the CIS department at Poly. I was born in the beautiful city of Nanjing, China, and lived there until I came to New York. I received my B.E. in computer communications from the Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

My research interest is in the field of wireless sensor networks (WSNs). With a wide range of applications, from battlefield surveillance to forest-fire detection, WSNs are part of a promising and growing area, though at the moment they still face a lot of design challenges, such as the large network scale and resource/cost limitations. My current research focuses on the routing and placement of WSNs to achieve maximum information flow while still retaining energy efficiency.

In my leisure time, I enjoy the art of aromatherapy, including healing with essential oils, which I find benefits not only the health and beauty but also the personality and mind.
